Recycling Electronics – Best Practise
Up to 97% of an electronic product can be recycled if disposed of correctly. Most of the time, your tech cannot be disposed of at home through your regular recycle bins.
you’ll be surprised how close the nearest drop point is to you! From council recycling centres, libraries, shops and a variety of local places will welcome your old electricals. Some councils even collect from your home. Reuse centres and some charities accept electrical items in good condition that they can sell, or pass on. Find your nearest drop-off point.
When you buy a new electrical item, check if the retailer or manufacturer will recycle your old electricals. More and more are offering this service.

Recycle Your Electricals is a UK-wide campaign motivating and making it easier for everyone to reuse and recycle unwanted electricals, ensuring we make the most of the valuable materials in them.

Repair Cafes are free meeting places and they’re all about repairing things (together). In the place where a Repair Café is located, you’ll find tools and materials to help you make any repairs you need. On clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, et cetera. You’ll also find expert volunteers, with repair skills in all kinds of fields.
